Hey all you "techies": Can I even play a midi file on my pc without running it through some external midi device?

I've downloaded it but I'm hearing NOTHING.

Your soundcard should be able to playback midifiles, most soundcards are.

What sound card are you currently using? Consumer-oriented ones like SoundBlasters have built-in General MIDI software, pro cards do not. I remember you telling me some time ago that you had bought a fancy card for remixing purposes...

I listened to the song but I don't recognize it.

How does one make a MIDI file anyway?

    Hi Graham,

I can switch between the SoundBlaster Live! (consumer) and the Delta (pro). Help me out, pleeeeze. I would ask Bill but he's out of it for the moment.

Well, the SoundBlaster should have some sort of MIDI file player with it... but I think you'd need to go to your Control Panel, and then Multimedia Devices, and then select the SoundBlaster from there...

...unfortunately, I don't have my SoundBlaster anymore, and my 2496 (a 2 in/2 out version of your Delta card) doesn't have any MIDI file player associated with it....

Went there... did that... it ain't happening. Trust me, it is NOT an issue I plan to deal with right now. The file has already been deleted.

AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH. This is so frustrating. I know this. It's something like "ta ta ta ta ta ta ta ta, and I have never been loved like this before".

No - not Hi Gloss. Not Luther. Not Stephanie. Female? This is easy but WHAT IS IT?
