got that funk

hello everyone ive posted this topic before and never received a reply so i thought id try it again with all the new faces around here. its from around 82 or 83 and all i go to go on is this:
"out of the groove........we got a brand new sound..
got that funk.." i know its not alot to go on but lets see if anyone can come up with it. i have it on tape from the old ktu paco supermix but i dont know how to post it.
it is sung by what i beleive is a black male singer with a some type of island accent but im not sure. its not a philly or salsoul type voice. thanx in advance,

You could use www.yousendit.com. You upload it to their server, mail the link to your email address and then post that link to the message board. They only archive the file for about a week.

Whatcha lookin' for is a curious thing -
it's a fantastic experiment of the famous reggae singer Dennis Brown, the track is called "Out of the Funk", published in 1983.
You can find an LP version -to listen to- here:

moroco you are the man!!!!
i have been looking for this song for 22 years!!!!. all i had was that little sample that i recorded from the radio in 83, unbelievable!!can u tell me how long the 12"version is, i really appreciate it my friend.
