I think it's Sue Kraemer
(not sure of spelling) on
London Records
It's not the track from "War" (1982),
it's not an obscure disco song,
it's from 1978-79 and
from what I recall it goes something like this:
- (main female singer)
You've got the power babe to show me the way
You've got the powwwer...
- (background female singers)
You've got the powwwer!
Can you help ?

the correct spelling is Su Kramer
She first released the song in German language 'Hier ist das Leben' which made the pop charts here in Germany in early summer of 1976. It was written and produced by Joachim Heider and Christian Heilburg in Berlin - the same team which is responsible for Pamala Stanley's 'This is hot' and Germany's disco queen Marianne Rosenberg.
Later this english version 'you've got the power' was released and even made the Billboard Disco Charts in 1976.
Another version of the same song by 'Camouflage' on Roulette records also appeared in the Billboard Disco charts the same year.
Another note to Su Kramer. She played the main part in the German version of the musical Hair alongside Donna Summer in the late 60's and early 70's. In 1974 Su released singles in german language produced by Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte.
