    Sometimes you saw a record in a store but you don't buy it. So, you look for this record in the next day and, surprise !!!, it is not there anymore !!! Another people get it !!! In my case, it happened with "Honneymoon", by Paul Jabara, a 12" vynil. And you?? Did you have a record in your hands but you lost it??

    Something similar of that nature has happened to me on a few occasions.

    Years ago when I was just starting to get into disco, I remember seeing Van McCoy's "Real McCoy" LP in the Salvation Army store. At the time I wasn't sure whether Van McCoy was fully disco or not so I gave it a miss. Fortunately 2 years ago I got that album from a bloke in USA through Ebay.

    Another incident was at the markets I saw The Temptations "Masterpiece" album, I stupidly decided not to buy it for some reason. Now I regret it.

    When I was out in Germany in 1981/82, I had a copy of William Devaughn's 1974 Lp with the full version of "Be Thankful For What You've Got" for DM 4 in my hand. I never bought it. I finally picked up the full version of the song on CD two months ago!!!

    Hi Marcio and friends,

    I cant remember wich, but this situation happened to me several times in the past. :cry:
    To avoid this, I always buy any record that I see (and that I like, of course). This way is more safe!! :grin:

    Peace

    The one that comes to mind now is:

    The Brothers Johnson - Right on time

    I always thought that Strawberry Letter 23 was only released as a single as all I had was a 7 inch version. However, when it was brought to my attention, on this site, the name of the LP I remember passing on it more than once in the past. Now I'm on a mission at a every record show or convention I attend to locate this LP.

    I have this record. The album cover is FUUUUUUUUUUUUNKY especially with the brothers in their yellow flares holding their funky guitars and their cool afro hairdos. The music is fantastic especially "Right On Time", "Strawberry Letter 23", the funky "Never Leave You Lonely", "Brother Man" etc...

    I'm pretty sure you can easily get this LP through Ebay or some online record store as "Strawberry Letter 23" was a big hit.

    Would an old Australian country man like Slim Dusty really do disco versions of his country music? :lol: :lol: :lol:

    There'll be a record show @ the Inn Hotel in NYC on 57th St. b/w 9th and 10th Avenues on Sat. July 20, 2002.

    If you're in the New York area, I recommend that you go to this show.

    I remember passing on the "Stratavarious" lp when it was released. I regretted that for quite some time. Years later, a friend had pity on me and since we both had two copies of something each other wanted, we did a trade: I got "Stratavarious" and he got "Amant".

    i have done that soooo many times and sooooo many times i forgot where i put something and have to search all the "P's" for the "D" that i put in there etc etc ....not the best method. Buy it all is now my motto..so i get a few duds n duplicates along the way, but i also end up with the all things i think i want { as long as the px is not high }

    So you're the folks that hide the Loleatta Holloway in the Country-Western section, eh? I always wondered who you were.
