Christian D'iors Eau Savage was popular in my neck of the woods early 70's.
Yep-we go back to da wonderful Seventies-again. I was wondering which cologne (After shave-perfume) could be considered as the ultimate Disco fragrance?
I used Tabac Original which I always liked and still use sometimes. This is what a put on daily. But was there a cologne that could be branded Very Disco? Old Spice? Gucci? Hai Karate? Women are definitely welcome in this non-macho topic.

Grey Flannel was a fav' for me.
Pierre Cardin was another.

The babes loved Grey Flannel. I always felt more "GQ" with Paul Sebastian or Aramis :D
I remember Brut by Faberge, 4711 by Muelhen's, Aramis and Eau Savage.

"Denim...For the man who doesn't have to try...too hard"![]()
I only know some of the fragrances you all posted here but Aramis was also a favourite of mine (I got those bottles for free as the factory in Belgium was near my hometown) and I also remember "H pour Hommes".
You know, when still in school, it already was not done to like Disco but using a fragrance as a man got me frequently in trouble.
Who cares  except for the schoolnurse and the deacon who had lots of work with us :o![]()
Eau de Sweat did it for me.![]()

I went through a phase of wearing YSL Opium for 8 months in 1979, I then realised why so many gay blokes were coming onto to me :-? However I did get lots of 'older' women coming on to me who I now realise thought they had turned me straight....when I was firmly in the hetero camp all along.... :P
I used Aramis and British Sterling. 8)
Girls who wore Tabu (female pheromone in a bottle) attracted me like flies to a sirloin...
I like the male colognes of today much more than those od days gone by. Fragrances such as Eternity, Curve...
Nobody used Old Spice or Hai Karate? Nowadays I use Tabac and Fahrenheit (also with pheromones). And sometimes Relax by Davidoff.
I don't use any aftershave or body deoderant, except a bog standard under arm roller type. I'm sweet (smelling) enough.
Jeeziz Quinny are we gonna havta teach you the finer points in life?![]()
Like I said...I'm sweet enough. My wife doesn't complain and let me tell you all, she'd be the first to get on my case! :o
I've been known to indulge in single essential oils on my clothes (grapefruit, lemon grass, lime, orange), but that's as far as my vanity takes me.![]()
True story: When I lived in Spain the locals could never understand how I could (a) stand the heat (mad dogs and Englishmen syndrome) or (b) how I never appeared to sweat profusely like they all did, even when it was 45C. That's not a particularly good thing, but I've never suffered from body odour, so never had to cover it up. As for using aftershave....I use a rotary head electronic shaver and look upon aftershave as being rather vulgar stuff that's always too strong smelling. Luckily I have good, unblemished skin and don't suffer from any problems with it. So why use any creams or liquids on it?
Old Spice seemed too much like something Dad used back when I used go to the discos. I loved it though and and now it's in my fragrance rotation.Originally Written by Videoskooter
The only colonges I rememmer are Aramis, Opium, and Farenheit or gray flaannel. My fav personally on guys is Aramis!!
Just bought 20 bottles of Aramis :o Paul, I'm sending some to youOriginally Written by Angelina77

(Angelina, don't worry, I'm kidding, we are just kids, like all men  )
I also remember wearing Azzaro wich my mother couldn't stand, she found that an awful scent. Which was a perfect tool for blackmail. Waving the bottle, ready to spray and then ask for a favor!
:o
I finally remembered some that I used in the 80s:
Lagerfeld, Aramis, Grey Flannel and Polo. Haven't touched any of these in years, but I would try Grey Flannel again.

Paco Rabane, anyone use it?
Yup, that's another one I tried back then.Originally Written by buckaroo
Paco Rabane was not my thing. Nor was "Must" from Cartier.
I still have a few bottles of "Get Wild" Prince's exclusive perfume for men and women. Not bad at all. And a great package :D
