"A better debut you'll be hard-pressed to find" - Mixmag
Very diverse music! Downtempo, Dub, Raggae, Rap, Rock and even Ambient. Track "Penguin" features Lee 'Scratch' Perry!
My personal favourites are "Nothing to Be Afraid Of" (awesome downtempo number), "Imperial" (midtempo dub) and the best track of this CD (by my opinion) - "Police Dogs Bonfire" (undefinable style, but surely FUNKY)

We've got the debut artist album from Rob da Bank and Dan Carey (Mr Dan) under their LAZYBOY moniker - PENGUIN ROCK. And what a stunning album it is too!
It features collaborations with Roddy Frame (from Aztec Camera), Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Estelle, Cathy Battistessa and Earl 16 and Rob reckons it's like one of his DJ sets - a "beautiful mess" which takes in R&B, pop, funk, soul, house and chillout vibes.
Rob da Bank is currently co-host of Radio 1's influential Blue Room show, home of the chilled and leftfield which cites Glen Campbell and Cocteau Twins as discerning listening alongside the likes of Royksopp and Ulrich Schnauss.
Dan has played guitar in the Manassah Soundsystem, recorded for Virgin as Mr Dan and also worked in film editing, most notably on the cult documentary, 'Tales From A Hard City'.
Dan is now getting the recognition he so richly deserves; picking up two highly prestigious Ivor Novello nominations for co-writing and producing 'Slow' for Kylie Minogue, one of 2003's most innovative and original pop songs.
First single 'Penguin Rock' feat. Lee Scratch Perry, added to high rotation Triple J, new single 'Western Skies' Feat. Roddie Frame also receiving light rotation on the J's.
We would say it's great though so check out these reviews for an unbiased view...
