wow :(
60 is by no means young, but it's not that old either.. sad news. He made some really great records.. Without question, one of the best artists/producers at post-Detroit Motown.. RIP

Damn, I liked this guy's stuff. RIP, Willie, and thank you for "You Sure Know How to Love Your Man". Remains a favorite of mine even today. Such good music --- the Brother did Work It Out. :)
Superb Northern Soul contributor - Love Runs Out being the best imho.
Brother's Gonna Work It Out
RIP
Sad News indeed.I've still got two of his albums that I purchased back in the early seventies "Ode To My Lady" and "Mark Of The Beast".Great song writer.
"In and Out" was my favorite tune from Willie Hutch and may he rest in peace.
:( What sad news...I remember around 1975 a Willie Hutch record entitled: "Love Power". Take Care, Guys...Mario
Wow  I guess God said it's time ...(I Choose You...)
You will be missed....Rest in Peace.... :(
Just listened to my fave tune "Get ready for the get down" and got goose bumps all over again, rest in peace Willie and thanks for the good music...

I just uncovered my LOVE POWER 45 by Willie Hutch ... I'd completely forgotten how much I enjoyed this record back then .
This song is all Willie ....written produced and song by him alone .....THE DISCO COMPILATION CONSENSUS: -- (10/26/74 - 12/27/75)
152) LOVE POWER - Willie Hutch
(Motown) B= 14; C= 6; D= 39; Total points = 59
11 weeks on the chart (7/12 - 10/11/75); Peak: #23 (3 weeks)
Its sort of a ROCK THE BOAT bass line meets KC horns in flavour … if that sets to mind a sound that is upbeat and buoyant ….. you’ve got it exactly right ….
( I'd like to mix it with YOUR LOVE IS A LIFESAVER Gayle Adams )
I’m going to have to start a thread about the numbskulls at Motown that blew the promotion of soooo much of their music in the mid- seventies:evil::evil::evil: :evil:… guess Berry was off busy trying to make Diana a movie star …. and all the promotion folks back in the offices just screwed off  …… too bad ……
Makes me sad to reminisce some times ...listening to this sweet ,optimistic, unpretentious delight …
I feel so sad for today’s youth whose music is far far removed from anything this gentle ……
Let me tell you about this love power :
Talking about that feeeeling that has you walking the street late at night
...I'm taling about that good ol' feeling, that gets way down in your bones
Once you get it , you can't leeeave that love alone
Talking about that thing that puts a little pep in your step .....
Talking about that thing called love:
That kept Romeo after Juliet all night 8)
Own this one if you can .....8)
