After my disappointment with the quality of the Donna Summer "Love Trilogy" CD I was reluctant to buy another disco CD reissue, but I saw one of the Cerrone 2fer CDs in the bargain bins and I decided to take a chance. I bought the "Where Are You Now?"/"You Love Survived" combo CD and I was very pleasantly surprised; the sound is bright and lively and the music is quite good (though pretty "poppy" on a couple tracks, like he was trying for a pop hit or two). I sure would have preferred my 2 favorite Cerrone albums ("Cerrone 3 Supernature" and "Backtrack") but they were fully priced, so I stuck to the bargain bins instead. I also found a 2 record set by Sylvester, called "The 12 by 12 Collection." The liner notes say that some of the recordings are from 12 inch first generation master recordings but most sound pretty much the same as the album versions I remember, but it's a uniformly great collection. I got a chill when I heard him sing "Take Me to Heaven".
