File under "guilty pleasure". Love the music, but the vocals... well, they're pushed to the back of the mix and drowned in reverb for a reason!
I recently got the tracks from her 1979 Heat album..

Only 4 tracks, but really great nonetheless.. I just love the sound on the album.. Soft female vocals, with a good mix of strings and hypnotic drums.. So lush and glamorous, even dreamy and hedonistic in a way.. For a former model, she's not a bad singer either.. The stuff that my disco dreams are made of :)
anyone else here like this one?

I too raise my hand and abandon myself to "Classical Love". The vocal talents of Flower were limited indeed but the young Raquel Welch-style sexiness of her is pre-verbal, as if the images of her on the sleeve were one with the gorgeous wash of sound. She must still be a looker, that woman.
Love the album,I also have the Flower album from 1982 on Montage , which has New York on it, one of my all time fav's.

I've never come across her second album, or even seen a pic of it. Definitely something to look out for.. I guess that's where all those other tracks on the "Best of Flower" CD came from..
Yeah I'll admit, her voice wasn't exactly showstopping.. I guess on closer listening her "limitations" become apparent.. Then again, her limited voice cooing amorously behind the mix is part of the charm I suppose.. 8)
I don't care what the record sounds like I could stare at that LP cover for hours... :D
Was she a model..?
