Strange how people's tastes differ so much. I love Beeline :)
Hate The Broads - Sing Sing Sing
Dead Or Alive - You Spin Me Round
Sylvester - Band Of Gold
For me it has to be "Beeline" by Miquel Brown, never ever liked it, couldn't bear to dance to it and you???

Funny you should mention BEELINE as I think its an ok record -not the best by MB but not bad either...
My most hated hi-nrg record has to to be....
PARTY - By Julius Brown.... AAARGGHHH
(Neil await`s suitable comment from Dave "Davicillo" HEE HEE)
LOL. I knew you were gonna say that track. In one ear out the other. Yes, there's nuffin' to stop it!
I cannot stand 'I like plastic' Marsha Raven or any Seventh Ave single.
Some of the seventh Avenue stuff was "well dodgy" :lol:Originally Written by Davicillo
Mmmm.....and the covers were even worse!!!
For the record, I love dead or Alive "you spin me round," and pretty much hate anything by Seventh Avenue except the " "midnight in Manhatten Album", which is wonderful. The later stuff was by a virtually different group of guys under the same name, the line up changed a lot over the years.
Yes... hardly a"boy band" -more " middle aged" LOLOriginally Written by Davicillo

Ending Up On A High/I Hear Thunder were massive! Also liked Armed Robbery and The Love I lost.
You are right, they were massive tracks as was" you're a beat" and "Love's gone mad". I still didn't like them much though :lol:Originally Written by monty69
ARMED ROBBERY was soooo camp - very village poepleish :lol:Originally Written by monty69
I thought their version of THE LOVE I LOST was the best track they released.
5 more dire trax ;)
Lee Prentiss - Have I The Right (The Honeycombs shoulda sued)
Rik Levay - Love My Way (Psychedelic Furs musta been spitting!)
The Lewis's - Behind A Painted Smile (The Isley Brothers pass out)
Ramming Speed (Ooh er) - When You Walk In The Room (The Searchers lose it)
Gomez Presley - The Letter (The Boxtops spitting harder than the Psyche Furs!!)
I forgot one. Marx & Spencer 'Stay'. Absolute drivel!!
Another one I loathe and detest, " mercy by carol Jiani, I really really hate this track.Loathesome is the only world
I quite liked the Ramming Speed song.
Ones I hated were the Ian Levine songs, and Seventh Avenue as well.
Barbara Doust - If You Loved Somebody - I know this was big, but it didnt do nothing for me.
I do like that Babs Doust track but the Levine remix is pretty lame...Originally Written by 41peter41
as of the last few years, the one hi-nrg resord I hate is actually "So Many Men" by Miquel Brown. I know it's place in history and did like it at the time but overplay has killed it for me.
I'm pretty sure if I was to be played some of the songs you all refer to then I would say there was actually a worse record!
toto
toto - that's a problem we all share!
hence me including DOA - You Spin Me Round (and round and round and round and round) yawn.
Same with Male Stripper - great when it came out, but OMG how many times a week did we hear it!!!
I have to say I also loathe.............
Eastbound Expressway - Frantic Love & You're A Beat. Talk about money for old rope / flogging a dead horse etc etc.
Near the end though Record Shack got like that. Sorry Neil.
i remember walking in an off beat record store and seeing all those hi nrg records pressed on mexican vinyl with ugly covers, and all the records i tryed out at the store sounded like,cheep... i dont know, it was a strange lot of records
with artist i never heared of.
sonic.
3 hi-nrg tracks I don't like off the top of me head -
'It's Raining Men' - Weather Girls (never liked it)
'If You love Somebody' - Barbara Doust
'These Boots Were Made For Walking' - Man to Man with Jessica Williams (both great artists but what happened here??!! :o :( )
Yeah.. Jessica Williams is a superb artist but not quite sure what she was thinking of on this one LOLOriginally Written by SandraDee
I was never too crazy about "Megatron Man"
All the Jimmy Sommerville/Bronski Beat outputs or is this not HNRG?
And just like San: "It's raining men"-nooooo-stop playing and releasing that one pllzzzz!
