CD recorder problem.

What's the deal with my cd recorder.....all of a sudden I'm not getting any signal to record music. I've changed the jacks to the input/output lines....and still no signal. I have a Marantz model CDR 631 disc recorder. Could it be that my input plugs are burned out or something. Hopefully somebody can tell me what is wrong.
