Gotta say at the time being in London the whole "madchester thang " left us cold, (more r'n'b and rap/ US house/dancehall) however...
workin in a dance music shop at the time - "Jesus On the pay roll" was doin it!
an' always had a soft spot for "Jesus Built My Hot Rod" and the ON-U stuff
Some of the weatherall mixes were good for a chill out set but that stuff just didn't kick it in the clubs/ warehouse parties down here...
Was huge in the"media" ... just wasn't very funky, more to listen to at home lying on the flo'
Loved Caberet Voltaire, Hula, Chakk ,Human League, DAF, Holgar Czuky but that was Sheffy not Manc. and about ten years previous
