Another great resource is: www.wrve.com - very thorough website.
Rod Temperton is one of my favorite writers/producers. I love his early 80s material. Best of luck on your project!
Thanx for that I will try. I've also noticed some old postings on the subject on this very site.
Hi, actually I started a chart for my favourite Rodsongs and people kept adding songs. Check out:

I'm glad there are more Rod fans out there. He has written the most beautiful disco / R&B songs ever.

Rod Temperton is a gentle-mannered white man from Cleethorpes. Outside the music industry virtually nobody has heard of him, but everyone knows his songs, including: Thriller, Give Me The Night, Boogie Nights and Off the Wall. This programme charts his journey from Cleethorpes to Los Angeles, with contributions from Quincy Jones, George Benson, Patti Austin and many more
The programme has been produced by Wise Buddah Creative in conjunction with Fresh Air Production.
Producer, Jed Pitman: “I was brought up listening to music by Rod Temperton and was amazed to find so few people knew of his output. Most people think that all of Michael Jackson’s hits were written by the man himself, not by a white guy from northern England. His was a story which needed to be told.”

I'm very glad that Rod is getting some recognition in the media. He well deserves a documentary.
I've listened again and been gobsmacked for a second time by the fact that his hits were soooo stylised. It was also evident that he 're-wrote' the same tunes over and over, something that wasn't apparent to me at the time.
I'm not complaining, as they were all great slices of dance music, that kept many a dancefloor more than happy.
Thriller is still one of the most brilliantly conceived songs of all time (who'd have thought that those lyrics could have possibly worked?) and still gives me a warm, inexplicable rush every time I hear it, even after a zillion plays.
