    Movin' and Changin' Live

Several months back, someone mentioned they had this cd. I wanted a review of this cd cause I was interested in the song "We." I don't recall getting a review however :o
Ok, so I picked up this cd and I think it's another great cd. As described in reviews, the music sounds just like it was done in the studios except you have the addition of the live audience. I just wish I saw these guys live. The music and the energy that you can feel is so electric. Perhaps it's only lacking in the sort of continuity you would find in live albums like Gratitude or the Spinners Live. That's just a trivial criticsm cause these guys definitely had their **** together.
Getting back to "We", I was torn between buying this unknown cd or buying the Brass Construction III vinyl album. I am a little leary about the vinyl sometimes because I'm not sure what condition it may be in. I'm happy I bought the cd. "We" sounded as good as I remembered. 8)

Sorry Paul. I meant to review I but forgot." Definitely the track "We" was worth the purchase. I thought most of tracks were studio recuts though but not bad.
I'm leary of vinyl and live albums too. Unless it's cheap I don't buy it.
I just listened to "Conversations" cd from 1983 today. It has an instrumental called "Easy" that made it an essential purchase. The leadoff track, "We can work it out" was probably the best in the bunch. There was another track, "I do love you" that had a groove much like Skyy's "Here's to you". On side 1, they employed female vocals in some verses. "Walkin' the line" in the verse sounds exactly like Loose Ends "Tell me what you want. Identical! The drums heavily patterned the Gap Band's "Early in the morning" which at first detracks from the listening. Great, group that always had a unique twist with horns and even keyboards over original song writing.

What about Brass Construction6? I've heard negative reviews and nothing on Cd is represented from that Lp.

I don't remember anything off BC6. Like so many groups, the best seems to be in the earlier years.

One more thing. I finally played this cd on my home system after having it in the car for a few days. It was a nice surprise to see the label used "cd text" when they made it. It is so rare that they do but it's something I wish most of them employ.
