You guys are killing me with the "god awful" comments! I totally agree. The songs from this list that were disco danceable were Jenny Burton's "Remember What You Like ", Xena "On the Upside", Pointer Sisters' "Automatic", Art of Noise "Beat Box" (couldn't stop shaking my but to that one!)

The Reflex, Romantics and Yes -- I liked somewhat, not really danceable. I was in college at the time and extremely ADD (we didn't call it that then -- just unfocused ;) ) But the all time jam at that time was "White Horse". We would just dance and point at a friend on the dance floor -- Rich......B---tch!!! LOL!

84 was the last year I worked full time as a DJ. I got almost all dancemusic that was distributed in Sweden as promotional records. All the imports i had to buy..
And the chart here was slightly different but from your 1st list I got:
Art Of Noise - Beat Box (Island)
Cara, Irene - Why Me? (Geffen)
Culture Club - Colour By Numbers (LP) (Virgin)
Freeez - Pop Goes My Love / Scratch Goes My Dub (Streetwise)
Gang Of Four - Is It Love (Warner Bros.)
Hall, Daryl and John Oates - Say It Isn't So (RCA)
Kitt, Eartha - Where Is My Man? (Streetwise)
Kranz, George - Trommeltanz (Din Daa Daa) (Personal)
Laid Back - White Horse (Warner Bros.)
Pointer Sisters - Automatic / Jump (For My Love) (Planet)
Romantics - Talking In Your Sleep (Epic)
Yes - Owner Of a Lonely Heart (Atco)

    and I baught

Lisa - Rocket To Your Heart (Moby Dick)

The ones I still could listen to are

Hall, Daryl and John Oates - Say It Isn't So
Kitt, Eartha - Where Is My Man?
    and
Romantics. The 12" was nice with intro and breaks that made it quite danceable (Far from disco but ...)
