The Disco Years: More Than Seven Volumes?

Does anyone know if Rhino made an eighth volume of "The Disco Years" series? I have seven volumes and would like to know if there are more and/or if Rhino plans to continue with more volumes. I really like the collections with nice liner notes and pictures. Perhaps, the only negative is that all of the songs are the short radio edited versions; however, I have no problem with it. Any ideas or opinions?

They initially released 5 volumes; then later added 2 more. That was it. I really woulda liked to have the full 12" versions--but ya take what ya can get, right?

Interestingly, as I recall, the only full-length versions on these compilations were the Norma Jean tracks (which the author of the liner notes admitted to being partial to).

Thanks for your response, markydefad. I am assuming then that Rhino stopped after 7 volumes because the was no more worthy material or the sales was down. As for Norma Jean, "High Society" and "I Like Love" (volume 4) were fine songs. Thus, any songs with or involving Chic were used a lot particularly in volumes 2 and 4.

The BBQ Band's "On the Beat" is definitely worth seeking out in Lp form because they take an entire instrumental solo out of it.
It's the worst edit of a song that I've ever seen.
