Here is a local production from ’82 by Ray Martinez on his Paris International label and evidence that Disco, especially here in Miami, was still alive at this late date despite what the national “charts” may say, this song has a catchy pop “pretty” Disco sound with a touch of Latin flare you may expect from Ray Martinez, all the old classic elements of “Disco” are present here with maybe the exception of the drums, Angie’s sweet soft uplifting vocals and lyrics are laid over a beautiful slow intro with acoustic piano and lush background strings leading into more sweet string laden melody arranged by Ray himself, nice bass, congas, cow bells and rhythm guitar, makes this one a winner in my book especially with the instrumental on the flip as well as a charming cover version of the classic “Hello stranger”.
Sadly, this cut was better suited for “Hustle” dancing which by this time was falling out of favor, even in Miami, this is why I believe this song never made it big, (even though some chaps are selling it from the UK) and was mostly played in some local clubs with Ray himself many times distributing the Promos around town . Check it out, this one may bring a smile to your face 8)
