    BABY DOLLS

    Hi guys
Found a 12" single on my travels last week - WATERLOO by THE BABY DOLLS - No year shown on the sleeve or label - Standard Italo disco cover of the classic ABBA track - Its not bad at all - Does anyone remember it/what year it was released ?
It is on an Italian label called STIL NOVO records...

hmm, not sure what year exactly but I would hazard a guess at the early 90s as I think Stil Novo was only around for a few years and the two singles I have on that label (Roby & Marsha "Lies" and Riki Visconti "You Make Me Feel So Blue") were both around 1991-92 as I recall. There was a couple of other Baby Dolls singles I remember reading about but haven't heard personally, a cover of "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie" and one called "Have You Ever Seen The Rain."

Pity there are no shops like that anymore... even the local HMV and independant shops used to stock import HI NRG 12" singles

I remember HMV & Virgin had great HI-NRG sections (in the good old days) - HMV dont seem to stock any HINRG stuff at all now....

We did at Brighton coz I worked as singles buyer and helped with the older dance collections as well. Mind you, coz of the large gay community, we sold shed loads, but unforntunately the older stuff which we got asked for, we couldn't get.
