Graham, these lists are too cool, but I just gotta throw in my two corroded cents:

I think most people will agree with Lightfoot's "E.F." being direct from hell.

Looking at Robbies list I can disagree with some of them:

Helen Reddy - I Am Woman (Although it's country oriented, what I like about this song is that it's about liberation for women as back in the old days men like to be so macho and chauvanistic and be dominant over women. Fortunately in todays world a lot of this male dominant crap has gone out the door and there's more equal rights for women. I swear I HATE chauvanists.)

Billy Joel - Just The Way You Are (Don't mind it, but that song like a lot of his other material was flogged to death on Australian retro radio.)

Wings - Coming Up (I LOVE that song, especially the video clip because Paul plays as a whole bunch of different players from other bands including Ron Mael from Sparks  .)

Now funny you should mention Gary Glitter. That bloke has made a dramatic turn for the worst by getting obsessed with child pornography, SICK BASTARD!!!!! I heard this shocking report on the news in late 1997. And from what I read, Gary called a computer technition to fix his computer and the computer techo made a shocking discovery of Gary's big collection of child porno pictures that Gary downloaded off the internet. Gary's been charged with a jail sentence. Anyhow Gary's a sick weirdo now which is a bloody shame  as he use to be a great glam rock star and his Top Of The Pops performances were great especially with the video effects. That guy has flushed his career down the dunnycan. Although it may not change the fact that he did a good contribution to the Glam Rock genre, most of the once-were fans of Gary including myself have totally lost respect for him.

Australia mate! The land of many great funkateers!
