It's the only one worth bothering with.![]()
Is this the only Hi NRg Forum on the web?? I've searched and cannot find any other. It's a blessing though, because until I found this site I thought I was the only person on the plabnet who still loved Hi Nrg
It's the only one worth bothering with.![]()

And I must say Energyguy, your enthusiasm and "hot passion" have certrainly given this site a new lease of life . Well done.
I used to belong to one called Streetsounds (or sommat similar), which was brill. Catching up with hi-nrg fans from around the world, but I can't find the site now. :(
Mind you, I'm going back about 4 years!
Thankyou very much - real nice of you to say thatOriginally Written by straight acting

It is just great to come on and be in the company of fellow HINRG fans who appreciate the genre. I have also made some good friends on here !!

Did that have anything to do with Morgan Khan's Streetsounds empire in the 80s? As well as the fab compilations he put out, there was a Streetsounds magazine in which Ian Levine wrote the hi-nrg section. Another contributor to that mag, Damon Rochefort, I notice now writes for Coronation Street!!! :o
Those STREETSOUNDS Lps go for mega bucks on e-bay. Seen some in VOX POP records as well.. That label released some top quality stuff... Damon Rochefort was the guy behind that group NOMAD (i think ?) - Vocals by Sharon Dee Clarke... Think the song that hit the charts was "Wanna give you devotion" ?!Originally Written by SandraDee
That's right Neil; Nomad did a few others too - Just a Groove, Your Love Is Lifting Me & a cover of 24 Hours a Day! Damon also co-wrote Sharon Dee Clarke's 'Dance Your Way Out Of The Door'. A busy gent!
I remember that cover of 24hrs a day being radio 1 record of the week but it did pretty poorly in the pop charts...Originally Written by SandraDee

What's happening with the educational system?????
How does the Canadian remix of In The Name of Love differ? I bought one labelled US Remix put out by Prelude here in the UK when it came out all those years ago which is very slightly different (and had the excellent instrumental version on the B side) and would love to know of other mixes.Originally Written by SandraDee
toto
The Canadian Remix is by Greg Silva I think and runs at 7.21.
The original 12" runs at 6.30.
The Disconet remix runs at around 10.41.
The hot tracks remix is very similar to the Canadian one.
Throw in all the remixes of 'Can you handle it' and 'Beat the street' and you have total confusion.
