Sixty minutes is nothing special (but it\'s all the world to me)
many thanx phyllishyman!!!
Also, later released as "Keep Smilin'". (1980?)
I was always gonna ask what the deal was with this song.
I have it one 2 different labels and with both titles. But, it's the same song isn't it? Or was it re-recorded for the later release. I'm not at home now, so I can't check, BUT, anyone know the story here?
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Mark,
I'm not 100% here but I think it has something to do with the selling of the SOULTRAIN label and RCA keeping the distribution under SOLAR. My 12" of "I GOTTA KEEP DANCIN'" (on Soultrain) lists the artist as simply, Carrie. On Solar, it's Carrie Lucas and it's titled, "KEEP SMILIN'". I also heard they wanted an 'American' remix, so maybe that's the reason they changed the title after Rick Gianatos did his thing.
As I say, this ain't gospel.

Nicky,
I have exactly the same info as you.
I do see that that Solar version was remixed by Rick Gianotos and is longer (7:47) as opposed to (5:06) on Soul Train. Both say 1977 RCA, though, although the track on the B-side of the Solar record has a 1979 date.
I just never understood the title change.
I assumed, before I owned them both, that they were different songs. BUT THEY AIN'T.
