You and I was also a great cut and BEAUTIFUL!!!![]()
The slow ballad "You and I" was very popular in local clubs and was used by Djs for years after it's original release.Originally Written by pepper1dancer
I tried to transcribe the lyrics to " You and I " " Rough Diamond" and
"You can", but there are complete lines I can't understand what she says
Could anyone help me to those lyrics please ?
Thanks for your help.
MADLEEN KANE's 12inches & more is an essential compilation. Not complete but her best known songs are very well represented.

Her GIORGIO MORODER produced album DON'T WANNA LOSE YOU from 1982 is still among my favorites from the disco era.SOUNDS OF LOVE is also very solid as an album.CHERCHEZ PAS and YOU CAN are my 2 all-time favorites from her.
When she turned to IAN ANTHONY STEVENS [and PAUL PARKER as songwriter] ; she also scored many hits on the HiNRG charts.
She should be ready for a comeback...

I totally agree with all your comments. "12 Inches and More" is defo a "must have." My favourites by her are "Playing for Time" (the long version, 11 minutes or longer if I recall correctly), "Fire In My Heart," "On Fire," "You Can" and last but not least "I'm No Angel."
It's really hot - stop!!! Saaaay: Magnifique!
[quote=Videoskooter;118425]Is this a personal wish or are there rumours that she's in the studio again???
Just a wish...
She sure has been laying low.

That's 'cos she died years ago dear, so you're gonna have to wait a long time for that 'comeback'!:icon_cry:![]()
...ya gotta beat the street......
No, Madleen Kane died in the late 80s I believe. I feel sure I read it on this site that she o.d.'d on heroin. I remember thinking how tragic.![]()

Sandee...I recall that Miss Kane had died being mentioned here--but wasn't it proved to be untrue??? :icon_question::icon_question::icon_question:
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Just did a big search on the net about that and there isn't one (1) site mentioning her death, no Wikipedia, no Disco site, none, so I think La Kane is still doing her classy act, somehow, somewhere.
