No idea...didnt realise the OFF version was a cover! But did the OFF version sample a sound from "Love Eviction" by Quartzlock, because it sounds like they did! :D

As far as I'm aware, Off's version is the original.

The sound sample you are talking about was the slamming of a mid eighties Mercedes car door.... dunno where i got that useless bit of info from but believe me it is

I've got an Italian version by Prince Qwai which came out at the same time, but not sure which version is the original. Will have to check the labels to see who wrote it!
