What's the WORST Italo song you've ever heard?

Let's face it, not all Italo records were superbly-produced classics. What are some of the worst that you remember hearing?

The one for me was No More In Love by Diva. Truly atrocious, no one believes when I tell them how bad it was. I saw it in a bin years ago for 10 cents...wish I'd bought it for the sheer horror of it.

What made it terrible? Well, the music was lifeless mid-tempo sleaze and sounded "off", like the right notes weren't being played. Then Diva herself...oh my! Her English was accented to the point of incomprehension; all I understood was "No more in love" and even then some syllables were missing. Her singing voice was, well...imagine Kim Carnes with laryngitis *and* a 4-pack-a-day-for-20-years cigarette habit! You'd figure that at one point someone would have said, "Uh, y'know, this isn't going to work out." But they didn't.

    Truly frightening.

You know, the first time I heard "Ma Quale Idea" I thought it was truly dreadful, but at least that grew on me...and I think that Laban's "Caught By Surprise" is a bit ropey...too much like a filler track on an American film soundtrack or something...Biba's "Top Model" is also so bad that it's good!!! :D

I thought Sabrina's cover of Carol Douglas's "Doctor's Orders" was pretty comical, mainly for her heavy, heavy accent during the spoken intro "Hi Honey" part.

Anyone remember the answer to Boom Boom (Let's Go Back To My Room)?

I think it was a female singer called Elaine something. I remember the picture sleeve of a white girl, all 80's hairstyle and trying to be sexy!

    Dire tune.

    There were TWO!

No More Mr. Boom Boom by Body Heat

Bam Bam Bam (I Came Here To Jam) by Left Lane

The Left Lane track eventually won out. The chorus was identical to Paul Lekakis' song and they were often played together.
