Anyone who believes that human activity causes "Global Warming" is a fool.

Oh the never ending struggle to combat anti-itellectualism. I will say in fairness, 10 years ago I had some skepticism. Today however with the broad concensus of scientific review, the science makes it clear the man induced global climate change is real. The recent IPCC report references that.

I don't buy it. I'm not convinced. How many climate changes has Earth been through over these billions of years? This current swindle is just anti-capitalist left wing hysterical propaganda. The left bought into it in it's earliest days without any critical analysis. Now the hysteria has taken on a life of it's own.

Been down this path numerous times in the past...

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that all the guys on the other side are not scientist. Often times though, the staunchest critics I've heard aren't scientist much climatologist.
Anyway I suppose you will always find some disagreement. Very rarely if ever will find 100% agreement when you have a large population. That said, virtually all of the scientist who have done peer reviewed studies on all continents have come to consensus on Global Climate Change. It's hard to believe these men and women of science in Africa, Antartica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North, and South America are conspiring to deceive all of humanity.

Did you see Gore's movie?
I'm tempted to say part of your reaction is based on your ideology. Among the quite obvious distinctions between liberals and conservatives is how each reacts to new information. Conservatives given new knowledge will not accept this knowledge if it conflicts with their ideology. Liberals on the other hand will adapt to the new knowledge gained.

I think there's truth in both visions. The global warming isn't new.

Temperatures like this were also common in the Middle Ages. So it does go in flows. I think Mother Earth regulates herself at some point.

Where I do agree is that we are polluting too much. There's a challenge! Recycling, trying to avoid toxic waste, starting the building of the 4th generation nuclear plants. Try to find a valuable solution for the car pollution (not the electrical cars, coz' that energy has to come from a powerfactory, something the greenies sometimes forget). Maybe the hybrid engine is the future, we'll have to see about that.

Last year I replaced all the kitchen equipment and the central heating system in my house with energy saving stuff and my yearly electricity and gasoline bill was cut in half. So there is a way of doing it. Next step will be the replacement of the roof with sun-panels. I'm waiting for that because the actual panels are still too heavy and they except to improve that technology within a few years.

No, I prefer reading articles on it in serious magazines. I don't follow hypes! If they come from Gore or anybody else!

You know, that's to easy, that's the same as stating: we are right, the others are wrong, a fast spreading disease amongst left intellectuals. Paul, come with ideas and solutions please, no that groovy peptalk.

Instead of being cool, you are faster becoming out of fashion with such straight-out-of-a-party-manifesto-dogma than Paris Hilton's Chiwawaweewa! We had your dream government for the past 8 years and they were so right that they are going to be swept away in the 10th of June elections. The polls are so devastating for the socialist and liberal party, who are now in power that a slight panic is invading their headquarters.

Maybe Belgian people finally realise that the liberal truth is a little inconvenient and that their ideas and solutions were not exactly the right thing (wow, got that joke! I'm proud of that one )

Oh yes, your wet dream Ségolène Royal has just destroyed the French socialist party and polls over there are predicting a total failure for the red squad in the next parliamentary elections !

BTW, I would like to see how many gallons of Kerosine Gore has already used on his global save-the-planet-trips.

Ain't noting but a P-Funk party coz' a P-Funk party won't stop!

"Did you see Gore's movie?"

I'm sorry Paul, but I wouldn't believe Algore if he told me day's light and night's dark...

Human caused Global Warming is a swindle.

And about socialism in the USA - look at how the socialists have destroyed Massachusetts.

I always found him somewhat of a loser! I think that he is using this climate agenda very cleverly for political reasons and not per se for saving the planet via politics.

Paul, have you destroyed Massachusetts? Why? Women weren't hornaaay enough???

You know, you and me, we are the problem! We're so hot that it effects the climate!!!!

Now back to seriousness! As I don't have the time to follow the political views of the different presidential candidates in the Us of the A.

Is it a point in their campaign? Do they speak about it? Obama? Clinton? Giuliani? Or others than the Gore tribe?

Fair enough.

Umm, that wasn't my point. Try again:
Conservatives given new knowledge will not accept this knowledge if it conflicts with their ideology. Liberals on the other hand will adapt to the new knowledge gained.

I'm not sure how to interpret what you wrote here. I thought you mentioned that the "liberal" party is Europe would like the conservatives in the US. Did I misunderstand?

Maybe Belgian people finally realise that the liberal truth is a little inconvenient and that their ideas and solutions were not exactly the right thing (wow, got that joke! I'm proud of that one )
Well, I suppose the pendulum has to swing back sometime. As I said in another thread, if the elections swing to a bush-like government, have fun

Oh yes, your wet dream Ségolène Royal has just destroyed the French socialist party and polls over there are predicting a total failure for the red squad in the next parliamentary elections !
Yes, I was disappointed. I've heard though that she had problems within her own party. Any truth to that?

BTW, I would like to see how many gallons of Kerosine Gore has already used on his global save-the-planet-trips.
Touche! He hasn't exactly been the best model for how to live "green" but that doesn't change the science.

Ain't noting but a P-Funk party coz' a P-Funk party won't stop!
And the party will never stop

Whatever

Paul, have you destroyed Massachusetts? Why? Women weren't hornaaay enough???
Actually, compared to others, no, they weren't

You know, you and me, we are the problem! We're so hot that it effects the climate!!!!
We're like hot knives in butter bro

Now back to seriousness! As I don't have the time to follow the political views of the different presidential candidates in the Us of the A.

Republicans talk about global climate change...: icon_lol:
Some of the Dems have touched on it somewhat. The big issue is still bush's Iraq disaster.

Paul,

1. In Europe there's a big distinction between Liberals and Conservatives but they are both rightwing parties. Sarkozy is falsely portrayed as a Liberal president by some press. That's wrong, his UMP-party is a member of the Christian-Democratic fraction in the European parliament, so he is a conservative.

2. Ségolène really messed up and divided the party. She proved in debates that she didn't control the agenda, doesn't know much about general politics and the French people didn't like her very personal attacks on Sarkozy in the final debate. She lost the election there! Now, she's paying the price. Her husband (who according to many voters was a much stronger candidate) already left the party and others are following. Exit Royal!
