I don't know how everybody else is doing exactly but over here the ride is getting really rough. Most Banks are kept alive by the government (taxmoney), smaller shops are closing and as of today Belgium could lose its OPEL factory if GM USA will announce which European factories will be closed. Ford is doing a little better. AUDI is doing rather well.

Unions are trying to persuade our governments (yes, we have 4) to take over the car plant (taxmoney).

Is this a major crisis? Yes, it is, the 30's are not far away but IMHO this will blow over in a year or two. If politicians and entrepreneurs can steer the ship into calmer water, it all be controlable.
