| Yikes!!! I thought that Christian website was "satire." I haven't heard any media other than internet mention this story---it may all be an unfounded rumor--but it is "creepy" isn't it???? My biggest question --if Palin was faking the pregnancy, why would she have a "water breaking incident" in Texas--before she had to board a plane back to Alaska? That's the info that's the most damaging to her story. NO one on either side can believe a mother would endanger her unborn child by not going to a hospital immediately.

"Mom" ---Sarah Palin--- believing there's plenty of time before the baby's arrival , books this appearance in Texas. While there ,just before speaking she gets a call from her pregnant daughter in Alaska telling her "Guess what ? My water broke!! " Sarah's intitial reaction " "But it's OK Mom , I'm stabilized and therefore won't deliver for hours. But you need to get back here " Sarah (grandma) then decides she will simply announce her own (fake) water breakage to coincide with her daughter's -- AND incredibly ( just for the audacity of it I guess ) decides she still has time ( and the right frame of mind) to GIVE HER SPEECH before 'birthing" . Then finally, off they go ( 'Mom & Dad") to the airport somewhat casually catching a regular 8-9 hour domestic flight on Alaska Airlines to arrive in Alaska in time to finish off the charade .... ****** A little more fuel : ![]() While "MOM" is accepting the VP nomination , look at who is holding the baby .....nope ....it ain't "DAD" .... its "Sister" Bristol ****** *****

The story about Palin's baby was altered heavily yesterday in Wikipedia. I guess we will have to wait for The National Enquire to report this. After they broke the John Edwards story, they have become a little more trusted by mainstream media. I'm starting to believe this story myself. Like I said, Harriet Miers. Not vetted enough. As for Gustav and the Republican Convention, here is a story where the Evangelicals were praying for rain on Obama's speech. In return, the hurricane may hurt their convention. Now they have turned God into the weatherman. And these are the voters John McCain was going for by choosing Sarah Palin. Just sad. Wonkette: The D.C. Actually VS , I wish even a tenth of Americans showed your degree of interest in "our" politics . ( And you are very right to be concerned about them from where you sit ) I like to hear your input from your angle of things . Maybe you should move here ..we need more concerned citizens !!! Frustrating how so many go thru their daily stuff not even reflective of a bigger picture . Americans have taken a collective dosage of Kool-Aid.... a Kool-Aid whose flavor is ..." oh well ....whatever "... . That's why we get eight years of Bush ....trillions of $$$ wasted on Iraq .... bulldozed wilderness....vanishing ice caps .... **** oh well, whatever ???

- I always go beyond the hype. There's a big Obama hype, good, but look beyond the speeches. What exactly is his detailed program? If Barack Obama would be candidate in a Belgian election, with his program, he would be considered as very rightwing! Barack does the talk but can he do the walk? What about Biden? Who are his allies (corporations), what are his thoughts and projects? -there's is another candidate: John McCain! What is his agenda? Is he really McSame as Marky points out or does he conflict with the Bush/Cheney doctrine? Is it really him that instigated the war in Georgia and then why the hell is an American presidential candidate sticking his nose into Asian/European politics and is needlessly provoking Russia? -who's Sarah Palin, what does she stand for? Go beyond the gay issues and the kids and check her projects on drilling Oil in Alaska, building a pipeline in Alaska and other stuff. Education? Economy? Is that the McSame project? Oil (Alaska-Iraq-Iran) and Gas (Georgia vs. Russia-pipelines to Europe) control? The shows, the speeches, the plots, the ads are great entertainment but....people....THINK, like Remicks says. Think about the next 4 years that will be very decisive for our future, you the Americans and us Europeans. You are the leader of the free world but will you still be in a few years? Economically seen, you are already dethroned by China. Military-wise, you have to deal with a new-born Russia, who is very influential in Iran! Do we place our destiny in the hands of Obama/Biden or are we better off with McCain/Palin! That's the choice YOU AMERICANS have to make in November and your choice affects OUR (European/Asian) FUTURE too! The issue of Belgium having a government or a non-government does not affect American politics, domestic or foreign but the powers that be in Washington DO affect ours!!!!! Think, discuss, research, listen to all the opinions and views so that, and I'm quoting Needlefingers here, "when the lights in the club go on, you will not be shocked!" Marky, I forgot, thx for the explanation of the Kool Aid! It was very clear! |

What I said was "The worst part of disco is when you turn the lights on." It has different meanings and it was meant to be ambiguous. One meaning refers to the end of the night at the disco. One minute you are drinking, smoking, laughing, and dancing underneath the different color lights. When it's over, the music is turned off and the white lights come on. Now all you see are a bunch of drunks in a smokey room, walking on a floor of stamped out cigarettes, hearing the busboys picking up the empty glasses and hoping you'll catch someone's eye on the way out. The magic of the night is gone. Another meaning refers to the over analyzing of disco. As often happens on the music forum page, a song, artist, DJ,.... will be picked and dissected to the point that it isn't fun anymore. There is too much light being cast on the topic of discussion. Again, the magic is gone. Other people found other meanings to my quote and that was okay. The essence of my quote was just keep the music playing and the lights down and the magic will be there. Correct me if I am wrong, but what I believe you are saying is "we should not be afraid to keep the lights on our politics, nor should we shocked at what we find". And that makes perfect sense on its own. I am sure you meant no harm in quoting me, but I did want to set it straight. What I said only refers to disco, not politics. What you wanted to say, refers to politics. And that's okay too. Re-Flex - Politics of Dancing YouTube - Re-Flex - Politics of Dancing |

| No, I was not trying to harm you with it, why should I? But I used your quote exactly in the way you intended when you were speaking about Disco and artists. Today, I read an editorial in "De Standaard", the Belgian newspaper I always read and that article immediately made me think of you. They were praising Obama for the stands he takes, the goals he's trying to achieve. Obama gets a lot of press here and he's beloved, much more than McCain who's not trusted here in Europe. But, they ended the editorial by saying: "Of course, if and once Barack Obama is elected, what will be his deeds? Is he really gonna bring change or is he just giving those speeches, using them together with his undeniable charisma to get in power" In other words, at this moment the Obama-Club is a wonderful place to be in, you can say he's throwing a hell of a party! But...when the lights go on (if he's in charge/the White House) will we not be disappointed? You catch my drift? (Of course the same goes for McCain) Example: Obama has great plans for your social security system and healthcare. To be honest, he's digging up most of the plans President Clinton already proposed but...never succeeded in making 'em operational! In Belgium we are facing the same thing right now. Most Belgians are fed up with the Flanders/Wallonia beef, we are sick of it! We want our politicians to take care of the economy, social security, high taxes, justice. The same politicians who in 2007 were giving speeches about a new dawn, prosperity for all but since then have done nothing but quarreling and fighting about the fact that when a Walloon comes in Flanders, he can't speak French! The lights in the Belgian Disco went on and we sure don't like what we see... You see, a lot of people in the world want change so let's pick the people who can really bring that change. People seem to think that I dislike Obama but that's not true. Maybe he will be an excellent president. Maybe McCain will be a better president than a lot of you think. It's your choice, people, soon you have to pick the winner, your new president for 4 years and our president for 4 years because you know that America decides the future of a lot of countries. (Long time since I've heard that Politics Of Dancing track |
