---- For the past three plus long years .....that's all I've heard these conservative pundits revel in .... WELL AT LEAST WE GOT RID OF SADDAM .....
.... even if there were no weapons of mass destruction .. even if there wasn't any threat to the US ... even if the people there didn't welcome us with flowers at our feet .....even if it was all a bunch of lies ......if nothing else .....getting rid of Saddam makes it all worth it.

Now --- with even worse leaders at the helm in Iraq ....we only wish Saddam were still in power . He understood best his own people and was able to keep his contrively carved country under control. We should be so lucky, as chaos compounds daily under our superior guidance .

Looks like Daddy Bush was right all along about staying out of Baghdad .

Well at least we got rid of Saddam ... even if we used up billions of billions of dollars to do so . Boy what those hundreds of billions could have done for our own roads and schools and infrastructure ....

Except now caught with no funding , & no available military ... we actually do have a real problem now .....next door in Iran . Nuclear weapons are REAL weapons of mass destruction. This is a scenario that really does warrant military action. But we've squandered that capability ... using it up in a phony needless war in Iraq. Now as we are reduced to impotent spent warriors on the global battlefield we can only watch from the sidelines while Iran knowingly thumbs her nose at us.
This is why war is a very serious thing ... and shouldn't be allowed to be artificially ignited by a bunch of crafty, arrogant, calculating , buffoons. War should be a last resort .... such as when we witness a country blatantly constructing nuclear weapons.

Now Israel has nuclear weapons.
Iran will too.
In response we are now offering the same to Bush's oil buddies in Saudi Arabia.
China is talking likewise with Egypt.

oh well ..... we're progressing into WWIII , but .... at least we got Saddam !!!!! .................

I'm a social conservative and I was against invading Iraq. I don't even see a problem with Iran and Egypt obtaining nuclear weapons.

It's funny but I thought the conservatives (as Mr. Bush claims to be) were for sovernty of nations, the right to bear arms, and the right for nations to defend themselves. It's a bit odd that Republicans in NYC always back the police and never take the side of a citizens right to bear arms within the boundaries of NYC. I think one need not look at the second amendment but the Republican belief that certain religions and ethnics need to be kept down so the US investors can use them for oil and labor and a return on investment.

Well, you summed it up remicks. These people, republicans/conservatives headed by their leader are a bunch of selfish misguided bunch...period. Wherever they have gone has been sheer disaster! Iraq is far worse off now! Afghanistan is also a mess with women back to being executed due to sharia laws. In fact the secular society under Saddam now operates the same way. I'm not going any further because most of us judging by the unprecendeted election know this bunch is a bunch a fuck-ups.

It's very ironic but it was conservatives in the early 1990's that spoke up against one world government and forming coalitions with Europe.
