Default Early Presidential Poll 2008

Well, after last week's small victory of the Democrats, do you think they gonna take the White House in 2008?

Personally, I doubt it. They won't fulfill the high expectations and people are soon gonna find out how divided they are on many subjects.

My early prediction for the Presidency 2008:REPUBLICAN

President: Jeb Bush

Jeb Bush for President : George W. Bush T-Shirts, Pro Bush Bumper Stickers : CafePress.com

Vice-President: Condoleezza Rice

No way is it going to be another Bush. The conservatives and the Republicans won't allow it. I think this notion of nepotism has already created a backlash against those relevant candidates (ie Tom Kean JR. in the New Jersey Senate race). I think it will work against Hilary Clinton as well as many others.

I think a true Washington outsider will take ticket spots for both parties. If not, a third party candidate will appear very strong just because its anit-establishment.

The Reform party has lost its tax-payer funded matching dollars because it hasn't received enough of the vote. So that election fund box some people check off on their income taxes will only go to Democrats and Republicans. It will not fund any other party except for those despots.

Honestly, I hope Pat Buchanan takes the Presidency.

I don't think this country will vote for another bush for president (not that they did either time). The bitter taste of fascism from the bush crime family will remain for many years to come.
Pat eddie? I'll admit he is closer to old school repubs but still?

I am not a Bush fan or a Republican, but I would certainly approve of Rudolph Gulliani for president if he decides to run. I worked in New York City for years and saw first hand the good he did for that city not to mention his hands on approach to the 911 tragedy, which is the way George Bush should have done it.

Bernie, Bernie, Bernie mi amigo. Is Boodi gonna have to take you across her lap and spank ya?
Rudy loves the Bush policy in Iraq. He said as much during the convention speech in '04. If you want stay the course in Iraq, Rudy is one of those guys!
Also, isn't Rudy the guy that had his mistress staying with him in the same house as the wife and kids. Ballsy but come on! Show the wife a little respect

She may have to

You do have a valid point about Iraq, but I have to judge the man more on what he has actually done for New York. I also realize that there will never be the perfect candidate so I'll simply pick and choose from both parties.

Quick question! I included the Green party, but are they still in business??

Rudy Giuliani could be the right pick also. I respect the man, I don't care what he's doing in his private life and Iraq is not the only issue nowadays. A lot of Demos also supported the invasion so let's be serious here!

BTW, Paulie, I got a phonecall from Karl Rove, he wanted your coördinates! He says you are one of the best promotors of the Republican party on this site.

He litterally said: "That guy is so over the top that we can use him!" "We love his idea of moving the Jews to Texas" "He's our Borat" "We're gonna be huge with this guy!!!"

Well done

Short of the Dems picking Hillary or Obama for president, Rudy would be perfect for the Dems. Rudy has enough negatives on him that assuming the religious and social conservatives let him win the primaries, the Dems can make them national issues.
After the ass-kicking the repubs took, are there any repubs left that will take advice from Karl. Regardless, the fact that I would be hated by rethugs pleases me no end
By the way, it didn't take long for the little truce and recognition of the state of Israel to end. Gee, how did I know. I guess the endless wars between Israel and whomever is far superior to establishing an Israeli state in south east Texas.

Oh, the Green Party is still alive, probably more so than any other 3rd party here. That said, their role is extremely small. I believe there may some serving some state and city offices in different parts of the country.

Last night I happened to see PRIMARY, a 1960 documentary film about said election for the presidential candidate of the Democrat Party: Hubert Humphrey vs. JFK. I saw the film for "movie history" reasons (a landmark in the doc genre, etc.) but couldn't help thinking "man, were these people naive in their campaigning!" Even the Kennedys, which were bringing their then-modern, mass media style to the election.

Just to see these people traveling the roads of Wisconsin in simple cars or small vans, shaking everybody's hand in the street... It was a different era, really.

BTW, Jackie was a doll

Videoskooter,

Do you really think America can stomach any more Bush family spawn in the White House???? The damage the current one has caused to this country and our reputation around the world will take decades to undo, IMHO.

My candidate would have been Wisconsin Senator Russ Feingold--who actually voted against the war and actually stayed true to his feelings--but he's decided not to run for some reason. A truly honorable man. I wish he would change his mind.

Guys, like they say: "1 week is a long time in Politics". I won't give up Ol' Jeb already.

The worst scenario: Al-Quaeda is gearing up to hit hard (according to various secret service reports). Let's all pray it won't happen, but if...than things in Washington can change very quickly. If the Demos soften the war on terror and something nasty does come up, than they will be in BIG trouble.

Repeat: I hope it WON't happen again!!!!!

Marky, I am so with you. I just wonder if the party king makers told him not this time.

Well, long before we, I mean Dems took over, Cheney was telling us Al-Quaeda will strike us any time. It is their policy that has made this nation more vulnerable!
