| Joe Leiberman is one of the last traditional democrats. At one time his party was a center-left pro-defense party. In 1968 LBJ and the Vietnam War caused a rift in the democratic party that as yet to heal. Starting in 1972 the rift widened and the dems began their morphing into an extreme left anti-defense party. Leiberman is a dem in the model of Frankiln Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John F. Kennedy and senators like Henry "Scoop" Jackson. Entire blocks of voters have abandoned the democratic party since 1968. White European ethnics, white southerners, and now hispanics have left or are leving the dems for the republican party or as independent voters. I first registered to vote as a democrat. I voted for Carter in 1976. In 1980 I voted for Reagan and have been voting republican, with a few exceptions in local races, ever since. |

Lieberman may at one stage early in his career been more moderate. His current ideology is a far cry from traditional dems. Pro defense yeah. Engaging in starting wars like Iraq, no. About the only thing you've got right is your parallel between Lieberman and Jackson. Jackson was also a conservative dem. The other thing you got right was also that the racist, mysogonist, and anti-intellectual bible fundementalist in the party left and found a happy home in the republican party. If you or any other so-called dem left the party because you fall into any of those above anti-democratic groups, good riddance! So are you a conservative hawk who served during the many wars you were old enough to be in or a chicken-hawk who talks the talk but lacks the balls to step up?

Lieberman is a punk ass. He would have been the first guy bitching if Lamont lost the primary but then decided to run again as an independent in the general election! That left wing orthodoxy is the only thing we can count on right now to stem the tide of this criminal cabal. Then again I suppose you like to have an imperial presidency with no checks! I'm no fan of Hillary but I'd love to see her get in and do the same shit the bush crime family is doing!

| Now, I can not vote in the US but I have to vote in Belgium in two weeks. A quick question to you guys as we are having a strong debate on how the looks of a candidate are more important than their programs! Serious, would you vote for these women and if so, which one??? Respond and I'll tell who they are and what they're standing for. These are candidates for very high positions! A: ![]() B: ![]() C: |

A doesn't look old enough to run for office. C might be better looking than in photo, which seems to have caught her mid-smile. Same for B with her hands on her face. Looks would not effect my vote, but could be a factor for other male voters. I can't remember the last time a gorgeous woman ran for anything, either nationally or here in New York. I've heard rumors of a Hillary Clinton makeover in the works. |

| Okay guys, thx for playing! A: Anke Vandermeersch, former Miss Belgium and leading lady of "Vlaams Belang"(Flemish interest), extreme-right party with suspected links to Neo-Nazi groups like Blood & Honour and the White Power Movement. B: Freya Vandenbossche, actual Minister of Consumerbusiness and icon of the Belgian Socialist party. Makes herself ridiculous by total lack of knowledge and is now in a scandal for supposedly cheating with her University thesis. Is considered by many Belgians as an utterly stupid bimbo but always lands on her feet by playing lady charm. C: Freya Piryns , leading lady of the Belgian Green Party. Is a neo-communist and is 100% anti-American. First time she's on the bill but believed to fail. So, three examples of politicians that only score with the looks and that's a must in Belgium nowadays BTW, today on our news: Condi is in love with the Canadian Minister for foreign affairs and they sort of admit that they're a couple. So far for the leftist's bull of Condi dating Bush. "I lie and I cheat" seems to be the new slogan of the DemocRats, in the great tradition of the Clinton Crime Syndicate :-) |
