Funny you should bring this up today Nano. I received an email today that describes another form of Hollywood racism. I didn't see the movie, Flight 93 but apparently the heroic pilot in the movie was played by a white man. The pilot in real life was black. By itself one could rationalize it as Hollywood's poetic license. In total though it is racist. I remember this same thing happened when they did a TV movie about Watergate (a hotel) and former President Nixon' s staff involvement in bugging that hotel. The gaurd who noticed the crime going on was African-American. In the TV movie, he was portrayed as a White man.
I guess my point is if they made a movie about 9/11, would they cast Sam Jackson as Mayor Giulliani? We all know the answer there.

I haven't seen the film either but this is the first time I've heard the issue brought up. The captain Jason M. Dahl, was white. The First officer, LeRoy Homer was an African-American. Were both flight crew members portrayed by white actors?
