The key word is this whole political issue is "ILLEGAL".That very simply means that they broke the law in the first place. The rule of law must be maintained. The illegals are making fools of the legal immigrants who go through the process to become US citizens.

Perhaps, California laws are different. I did some checking before posting a reply here, but in Oregon (that's where I live) "anchor baby" does not afford an illegal immigrant any privileges otherwise granted to a legal resident. Illegals are deported from Oregon with or without babies, pregnant women or not.

Also, the second statement about a baby who is a US born Citizen... baby's birth status afforded by "the law of the land" does not automatically convert a status of parents from an illegal alien to a legal resident. I verified this with an immigration attorney who is often retained by my company. I quote his lengthy reply: "Nonsense".

I give thumbs up to that statement! there is a right way to do things and a wrong way. breaking the law is not the right way to become a citizen of any adopted country, sorry.

it seems like there a lot of urban legends circulating on this issue, and for the most people it is rather challenging to sort things out between myths and facts. I must admit that discussing politics is a rather unfulfilling activity...

May I only suggest before you "Bomb Mexico", first straighten out laws of California?
