I doubt that's the case. Even a right-winger like myself would never want to see Iran nuke any country, even a spineless European one.

But I'm still waiting for the European solution to the Iranian nuke problem. Is it to talk to the Iranians while they harden their nuke facilities? Is it to expect the hated Israel to wipe out the Iranian nuke facilities? Is it to expect the cowboy Americans to wipe out the Iranian nuke facilities? Or is it to one day wake up to find Iran issuing an ultimatum to the Eurpeans - Submit or Die? Only then will the EuroPussies will beg the US to launch it nukes against Iran, to save it's wimpering asses.

France = Duplicitous wimps, but with 300 nuclear warheads.
Germany = Wimps, pretty ironic isn't it.

Netherlands = Wimps
Luxembourg = Who cares?
Sweden = Wimps, but have gorgeous women.

It's also my grandparents country :D I wonder who is going to win the election these hours. Berlusconi, who supports the U.S. or Prodi with his leftist coalition (+communists) who already announced that he will break the alliance between Italy and the U.S. when it comes to military coöperation.

At this moment the results are slightly in favour of Berlusconi but they are still counting the votes.

Germany could change his position but Angela Merkel is too weak. I prefer Edmund Stoiber and I hope he will win the next election over there.

BTW, my party is predicted to provoke a landslide in the elections in October. The Socialist party is loosing support very quickly now. And our chairman is very pro-USA!

My paternal grandparents came from Naples, maternal grandparents from Sicily. They all came to the US way before WW-1. I have relatives in Italy but we lost touch with them 40 years ago. I studied Italian in college but found it difficult and never really learned it. You know it's useless to try to teach an American a foreign language.

Very few Belgians in America, never a large immigrant group here for some reason. We have large British, French and Dutch companies here. But I can't think of one large Belgian company here. But I love Belgian Waffles for breakfast - with butter and syrup!

Just an aside. You could nuke Iraq, Iran (and Israel for good measure) and you still wouldn't kill many more people than those that died in WW 2. So in the great scheme of things, the decision wouldn't be soooo difficult.

The next big mass extermination will be done in a much more subtle way, than nuking.

Perhaps Avian Flu could be the weapon of choice?
