Default the 25 Britons who wield the most influence in America

Interesting article I just came across...

"The American dream has come true for countless British business people who have found fortune by crossing the Atlantic. Dominic Rushe and Julie Earle identify the most successful stateside expatriates

FAMILY, friends, Marmite, winding roads, pubs, the sense of humour, Cadbury’s chocolate, Coronation Street and Tottenham Hotspur. These are top of the list of things British executives in America miss most about their home country..."

Fings ain't wot they use'ta be. I positively hate England and have done for quite a time. No-one has time for anyone, everything costs too much, the roads are jam packed and frustrating as hell to drive on, kids are brought up to be little spoilt brats, politicians couldn't rule a convent with just two nuns, the police are only bothered with issuing traffic speeding fines, the weather is cold and grey too many days out of ten....need I go on any further?

I ain't ready for the Macarena just yet and the Hokey-Cokey hasn't graced my ears for decades (thankfully).

Nice thought Bernie, but if I were to go to the Caribbean, I'd try to get into the British Virgin Islands. Trouble is, both BVI and Bahamas have something called a hurricane season.

Apart from Spain, my wife and I are also considering the Cape Verde Islands. Same climate as the Caribbean, NO hurricanes and soon to be a 5 and a half hour direct flight from the UK. Property prices are fairly rock bottom at the moment and can only go up.

We shall see where we end up.

OMG, one moment I thought you were talking about Belgium. Same problems over here, you know. A country that's on the edge of splitting up BTW. They are talking about it for years now but since a few weeks things are speeding up.

Flemish people are fed up with the arrogance of the Walloon government that's throwing taxmoney out of the doors and windows and don't succeed in gearing their poor economy up and one after another is indicted for misusing taxmoney.

Yeah, they're Socialists, what else can you expect from those hypocrits. May they all move to Cuba or North-Korea
