Default 2008: Rice Or Clinton?

My fellow Americans! Just read an interesting article in a European political magazine where analists predict that the next President of the U.S. will certainly be a woman. The only question for them is wether it will be Miss Rice or Mrs. Clinton.

The bets or on. What do you guys/girls think? Or will it be another member of the Bush-dynasty. Or will it be Mr. Heinz?

I don't like either. I know the Dem party is trying to shove Hillary down our throats but I prefer other people.
I doubt the Repubs will give the spot to Condi. I wouldn't vote for her anyway.

Well Hillary VS. Condi would give equal opportunity to those who engage in the LESBIAN SMEAR CAMPAIGN rumors. Both are suspect. :P

Perhaps you're reaching with the Dr King assumption.
Anyway, I vote issues. While I would love an African-American man or woman, if there policies are wrong then I can't support 'em. There are good African-American women out there like Carol Braun or Maxine Waters 8)

Isn't Carol Braun a welfare cheat?
Didn't Maxine Waters attend the Robert Mugabe University of Political Science?

You made assertions that you yourself should support.

I still don't see what the big deal is about Hillary Clinton. Unfortunately she is my Senator. She has never faced a tough interview and if you think 'War Hero' John Kerry was savaged in '04, wait till you see what happens to Hillary in '08. Condi Rice has not expressed any interest in running for national office, so all this Condi vs. Hillary talk may be fun but nothing else.

A republican to watch is George Allen of Virginia. He's a conservative from a growing part of the country and comes across well on TV. McCain can't hope to get the nominantion because although he's a conservative, his antics and self-promotion have alienated him from the conservative base of the republican party. Rudy Giuliani has a similar problem. His social liberalism doesn't sit well with a lot of the base, but he has a better chance than McCain at getting the nomination.

All you democrats out there, who else besides Queen Hillary has a shot at your party's nomination??

Ha! Angela Davis and Fidel Castro might be too conservative for the democratic base, especially here in NY and up in MA. Too bad Mao Zedong and Ho Chi Minh aren't around to fill out the 2008 dem ticket.
