Obituary

Died in America's Heart, USA

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend by the name of Common Sense who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such value lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm and that life isn't always fair.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not kids, are in charge). His health began to rapidly deteriorate when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.

Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer aspirin to a student; however they could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Finally, Common sense lost the will to live as churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense finally gave up the ghost after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot, she spilled a bit in her lap, and was awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust, his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.

He is survived by two stepbrothers; My Rights and Ima Whiner.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

If you still know him pass this on, if not join the majority and do nothing.

Thx, Bernie, I will forward this to our governments, all 7 of them!

Common Sense was seen in Belgium but we've lost contact many years ago. Strangely enough since Socialists started ruining, euhm , governing our beloved Kingdom.

I fear Hippies were responsible for beginning the decline of common sense. Everything has become soooo touchy-feely since the late '60s and their call upon everyone to spread love. Hippidom had a huge influence on my generation. I was naturally drawn to it and it was a lifestyle I emulated in my own way. However, maturity has shown me the error of my ways and the sheer stupidity of youth. I'm still an idealist at the age of 53, but I really wonder how much longer I can keep it up.

I absolutely hate Political Correctness.....but I should be one of 'em, with my background.

Reportedly, common sense was gunned down in a gangster style drive-by, by a vicious group of images___ authorities are looking for___ comfort, convenience, machismo, femininity, violence and sexual stimulation___ Believe to be part of a global organization called CMI .(CORPORATE MARKET INSTITUTIONS)

No, don't make me use common sense on another wingnut who wouldn't know what common sense is.
Let's see. Who runs all 3 branches of the government? The conservative wingnuts. Let's look at their common sense values.
Devout conservative christians support assasinations - common sense values.
Attack Saddam and Iraq when they had nothing to do with 9/11 or WMDs - common sense values
Blame gays for god wiping out a whole lot of folks including innocent babies - common sense values
The only president to cut taxes with not just one war but 2 - common sense values
"You're doing a heck of a job Brownie" while people drown and suffer after hurricane Katrina - common sense values
~50% of the voting idiots in this country vote against their interest in voting for shrub. Now half of that group realize it doesn't feel good to take it up the shorts as their leader smirks at 'em - common sense values
Intelligent design as science, 'nuff said - common sense values
Support Bush/Cheney and their oil cabal as they rake in billions in profits (check today's news) and you dumb asses pay for it at the pumps cause ya want your chump change tax cuts - common sense values
Your conservative cabal run up massive deficits that for some reason you don't think you'll have to pay for - common sense values
Attack teachers and institutions of higher education then wonder why asians/indians with academic degrees come and take the jobs here - common sense values
Anti-choice for women but once the babies are here, cut benefits for 'em - common sense values

Just tell me when you want me to stop :-?

Liberalism run amok is destroying the republic - move to Massachusetts for proof of that. Living here is just like living in France or Soviet Russia.

Tell me about it. My favorite right wing line when confronted with some damning item: "We shouldn't be talking about this in a time of war."

Come live in the liberal utopia of Massachusetts - the ONLY state in the union losing population. Those of us paying the outrageous taxes here are leaving Massachusetts for everywhere else. The "For Sale" signs are everywhere.
Come to Massachusetts where the liberal democRat government forces the workers and businesses to pay for everything. Business is bailing out faster than the taxpayers and this state's economy is ranked at 45 out of 50!
You love liberalism; come to Massachusetts and live it every day.

Discoman,

You really need to get your ass to a RED STATE so you can live with your kind!!! Might I suggest Florida???? You can still revel in porn and drugs and vote the Republican ticket with a clear conscience down there. What's a little pesky hurricane breeze when you got God on your side????
