I agree with Bernie, great set, with a lot of my favorites in there! "Lady Scorpio" and "Wake Up and Make Love with Me" were new to me. And I hadn't heard "Burning Love" in a long while.

Great mix Sam!!! Go Helsinki!!!

It's good to hear a REAL disco mix using the originals, complete with their floating tempo idiosyncracies rather than re-edited easy mix versions used by certain international DJs...

Personally, I actually like hearing a disco mix where you can hear a DJ working the pitch slider on the fly to keep things on beat... and there's nothing wrong with a good drop mix for instant floor impact, which you also do very well - and live environments are tricky if your foldback is minimal or zero!

To keep this stuff flowing smooth you really have to be on the ball, know your tracks and know how to fix it fast when something floats unexpectedly... and it really does separate the men from the boys - (and how well they can use their toys!)

I'm constantly amazed by the sheer calibre of people on this forum and how much they are devoted to keeping the BEST dance genre THRIVING ALL AROUND THE WORLD! :D

Well, whilst we're on the 5hr mix trip - I also recorded a 5hr live set at a Fashion Festival after party last month here in Melbourne, Australia - so you've inspired me to get round to archiving it - so look out for a 5hr post from Melbourne...!

so.... coming soon: "Going Deep Down Under" 8)

Just did another similiar mix last saturday. I'll go it thru and also do the tracklist for it asap. Hopefully it's ok enought to post here; like the first 5 hrs mix, this was also made under heavy use of cocktails and pure hedonism...

best,

Samuli

There's nothing wrong with hedonism when it's responsible for creating such a good mix. If Caligula was born later he probably managed the best discothèque in the world!

Samuli, do that voodoo that you do so well and keep posting them :D
