| Hello to all "Disco Extravaganza" listeners, I have just got off the phone with Bobby Viteritti about 5 mins ago and he is back 100% and feeling great! I told him of the recent start of my program and the special morning music edition running this week as well as us catching up on things and I will be doing a live interview via telephone with Bobby for the program. Bobby wants to get his computer back up and running first which he is planning to do this weekend. I will update everyone more as things progress. Bobby had asked me to anounce it now LOL...so I have :P DJ Jimmy M

| Great news, Jimmy!!!! Try to get him to explain the theory behind playing certain records at certain times of the night --"creating the drama" I think he called it in that Tribal Rites book. I'll have to check his quote...but Robbie Leslie mentioned somewhere that Bobby taught him some lessons in this area. Sorta like a Broadway production in terms of pacing and builds leading up to what they refer to on Broadway as the "11 o'clock number". I'd love to hear something about how he chose new records from the piles he musta received from the DJ pools. One listen and either it makes it or not? Or did he go back and give it another try? What did he listen for? Was it just the danceability or other intangible "sounds"? What did he try to "break" and just couldn't make it work for his dancers or vice-versa...what did he hate that he had to play? How much did drugs have to do with what was played? This could get tricky...but certain records "popped" on the dance floor when you were under the influence that don't upon a casual listen in your living room. don't ask me how I know that!!!! Just some ideas.
