SLF's Back To Music, Disco Radio Show on Discoteria

"Stephen L. Freeman's BACK TO MUSIC"

A weekly 2-hour show that focuses on the Disco/Dance tracks that were hits in the clubs, as opposed to the Disco Music that's traditionally played on the radio. From Ashford & Simpson to Stock, Aitken & Waterman...this show is for US! The denizens of Discoland.

With thousands of tracks, spanning 3 decades of Disco/Dance to pick from, one of my goals is, not repeating a single song (or any particular mix of a song), within each section of the show, for 4 to 6 months. There's way too much material to cover, for me to be repeating anything!

The 1st hour will be individual tracks, with personal commentary, as well as industry factoids about the track and/or it's artist, writer, Producer, label, etc... With 99% of the music being edited/mixed by me, personally, just for the show. Providing you with the feel of the Club versions, without having to sit through the standard DJ mixing elements and repetition.

There's also an e-mail address: StephenLFreeman@att.net , where you can submit dedications (I love dedications!) and requests of particular songs. Or particular mixes of songs. Just remember to stay tuned. Because, once a track gets played, it's off the playlist for a loooong time.

The 2nd hour will be moi, behind the turntables. Spinning non-stop Disco/Dance from vinyl! No computer overlays, here!


I've been working on this concept for years. And I'm eternally gratefull to Cdnbob, for giving me the chance to make it happen!

Thanks, guys! I'll do my best, not to dissappoint!
So far, it's a little heavy on the NRG. But each show features at least 3 genres of Disco/Dance, in the 1st hour.

I'm psyched!!! But, also exhausted.

Yeah, Stephen's been really busting his buns on this project, and I hope everyone will come out to support him and the station.
