On the subject of humble thanks, both Mark and I want to say a big Gracias to Herminio and Felix for the recent S.O.U.L. 08 weekender in Gijon. A beautiful part of the world with great company, great food and fantastic music that has you buzzing still days later. Big Hi and thanks to Mark Gurney, Rahaan, Nick the Record, Ian Wright, Marc Forrest, YKE, Eduardo, Felix and Herminio for a musical experience above and beyond the norm.
A special mention to Stan Kalopitas who once again caught the events with his nifty camera work. Without you our friend, the weekend would not be as memorable. Good to meet up with Koh, Stuart Chalk, Bjorn, Minty, Reece and all the wonderful girls and boys from Gijon and Oviedo that came to support, encourage and spoil us rotten all weekend. Much Love to you all.
Apologies for not sending out the play lists for our 2nd show of May - work has dictated too much of our spare time lately.
Anyway, the first hour sees a 1 hour Latin feast. Music from Colombia, Peru, Venezuela and the U.S. Lot's of style's from Cumbia to Descarga, Mambo Jazz to Funk.
The 2nd hour features a delicious blend of Euro Jazz from Staffan Abellen and Romano Mussolini with some new items included from the Jazz Invaders, Plantlife and Sabrina Malheiros. It's another great show....trust us. Limited downloads as per usual.
