Default Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis - Radio Documentary

If anyone is interested in Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis this radio documentary could be worth a listen:

The Record Producers - Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis
Monday 5 May 2008

9.00-10.00pm (2100 - 2200 GMT) BBC Radio 2

Richard Allinson and Steve Levine focus their attention on the work of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, a prolific production and writing team.

In this special documentary, Jam and Lewis talk at length about their careers, from their early beginnings at high school and their work with Prince in Minneapolis, through to their Grammy award-winning work with Chaka Khan earlier this year.

Other contributors to the programme include: Alexander O'Neal, who talks about their techniques in recording the solo voice and Sounds of Blackness director Gary Hines who discusses the gospel group's involvement with the production duo.

We also get an insiders view on Jam and Lewis' working relationship from Lisa Keith - their backing singer of choice on recordings with The S.O.S. Band, Human League and Herb Alpert.

Never used it, but apparently you can listen to it live via the BBC Radio 2 website http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/

The radio show should also be available for 7 days after the broadcast date, in the listen again section.
