Plenty of new music on offer from this months first installment of the Happy Jazz show. Got to say a massive thanks to all those kind enough to consider us in the first place. So gotta say a big thanks to our dear friend Perry Hemus who sent us the Woodland Conclave EP. Great music, the way it should be as we feature 2 tracks from the Buckland Mill EP. Also, new music courtesy of MySpace.com - Here And Now Recordings - Afro-beat / Nu-Jazz / House - www.myspace.com/hereandnowrecordings - big Hi to John for sending through the Motiovators and Funkanala pieces for a taste of up to date afro business. Also, new jazz funk fusion via Cetkar (myspace page of the same name). Now, it's not smooth at all. Has a lovely feel to it - check for yourself! Not forgetting the enigmatic Hugo Mendez who sent us through the first Sofrito label release. Some lovely afro beat - sounding like the 70's Nigerian output we all love & crave but with horns from the Plumstead Radical Club. All good stuff! Plus - rare music from Chile from Santa Su Gente BIG TUNE!!!!

Mark crams 16 tunes into his hour - gotta be a record? There is a nice library feel to begin with - focusing on some European scats & vocals and subtlety blended with some Brazilian goodness. And you will just not stop playing the Carlos Nino & Miguel Atwood – Ferguson track! It's an absolute beaut! Lush strings galore - the whole hour is a dream. So stop dreaming, get on the sites that broadcast us or get on the download tip (limited as always).
