![]() The film "Sweet Charity" was my favorite film at the age of 13. So don't be surprised that when The Ritchie Family released "American Generation" in 1978 featuring a disco version of "Big Spender" I was ecstatic! It crossed my mind to use snippets of the film with Shirley McClaine, Chita Rivera and Paula Kelly and sync their fabulous dance numbers (choreographed by Bob Fosse. Well here it is! No sweat. Just lots of excitement. Hold on. This is the disco version - although it may not appear to be out of place. Featuring scenes from "Sweet Charity" - RENT THE DVD! Video Mix by Glenn Rivera Produced by Ken Emmons (thank you, Ken for allowing me the time to stare at my computer screen for hours.) Last edited by glenngrivera; January 27th, 2008 at 12:40 PM. |

| Barbarella does look too perfect for words as she rolls on the orange shag carpet with that Sarah Brightman tune pounding in the background (check the interiors they have on planet Sogo as well), and the wire hanger hurts so good in the mix of "Suffer", yet this has got to be the best of the Video Mixes. Those dance moves are perfect and even the lips move in sync! Amazing. Could not watch the Ultimate Warlord one though even though the track is so good. After just that particular War of the Worlds I swore I'll never watch a Spielberg film in my life, never again those sickening happy endings oozing with saccharine. And Tom Cruise...he is a nightmare. But The Automatic Lover one is great, and the Tantra/Exorcist 2 The Heretic combination works wonderfully. More please!!! |

| Jussik, I agree with you on the "War Of The Worlds" - 100% - my partner and I actually walked out halfway through the film at the theatre. I wanted to see it - being a 70's child and growing up on the science fiction and disaster films, I wanted to see the special effects. And of course, that was all there was. The original "War Of The Worlds" had much more of an impact. Thank you for all of your kind words and support - and there are plenty more to come :) Take care, my friend. GR |
