Sergio Mendes is the Brazil sound of our time – throughout the late 60’s he created several projects, which marked the sounds of Samba, Latin Vibes and Bossa Nova. It was indeed a surprise when “Magic Lady” was released in 1977. The LP had many cuts that gave a wonderful rendition of Mendes’ versatility to adhere to pop music at the time – which was disco. “I’ll Tell You” is indeed a classic and outlines the excitement of discotheques and the energy they create. This ReStructure Mix takes the song into an arena of playful breaks and loops that work with the effective manner in which the song was originally created.
