| Following Karen Young's 1978 international musical recording phenomenon "Hot Shot," songwriter Andy Kahn wrote another song specifically for the artist, "Rendezvous With Me." After the release of Karen's LP "Hot Shot" which also yielded the 12-inch*single "Bring on the Boys"*b/w "Baby You Ain't Nothin' Without Me,"*the follow-up single planned for the artist was*"Rendezvous With Me." Karen Young recorded her final vocal performance*of "Rendezvous With Me" against new rhythm tracks and exciting horn arrangements written by Andy as*this new production began to take shape. "Rendezvous With Me" was never completed. * Tense rifts developed between the record*label,*Karen Young*and her producers Andy Kahn and Kurt Borusiewicz. As a result, "Rendezvous With Me" was shelved indefinitely as the relationship between the original production/management team, Karen Young and*West End Records*deteriorated.*It is a common occurrence in show business for an artist plucked out of*obscurity, suddenly finding themselves thrust into the international*spotlight, to receive advice from many outside parties interested only in their own short-term gains, overlooking the damaging effect on the future of*the artist's*career. This unfortunately is what happened to Karen Young, after*her huge success*with "Hot Shot." She joins the ranks of musical recording artists who've become*famous*for being "One-Hit Wonders." * Karen Young was an immensely talented performer.*Her vocal abilities*were a*unique blend of Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald, yet she retained her individuality, sounding like no one else but herself. She was a gifted pianist and songwriter. Sadly, Karen never got the chance to demonstrate her versatility to the world after "Hot Shot." Once the spotlight dimmed, she faded from the international music scene. Karen Young suffered a fate that has befallen many a talented artist, caused by greed and bad advice from*those individuals who*refuse to*truly respect the artist, demonstrating an*interest only*in their personal gains. * It is*this sorrowful*aspect of the music business that made*Andy Kahn decide*to reconstruct "Rendezvous With Me"*from*the 1979 master*recording that's been*in his tape vault since then. Almost thirty years later, the world will finally hear another new amazing vocal performance from Karen Young.*"Rendezvous With Me"*has never been released in any form, never been heard before, never available, until now! * MaxRoxx Music has restored both Karen Young's vocal tracks and the horn*section tracks from the original master*of "Rendezvous With Me." This new song, written*for and inspired by Karen Young and sung by the artist, gets the chance to be*heard after all. MaxRoxx Music presents the next release of The Karen Young Reheat*- "Rendezvous With Me"*formatted in club mixes*created by the MaxRoxx Team, international superstar DJ*Paul Goodyear and*up-and-coming, hot Philadelphia DJ Zathan Radix.*

| Thank you to all those who've expressed an interest in "Rendezvous With Me" the new title by Karen Young which will be released shortly by MaxRoxx Music. I always hoped that this song would eventually come out, but the timing never felt right, especially following the upheaval disco music suffered around the time we recorded it. Karen loved this song after I wrote it for her in 1979 and immediately went into the studio with DJ Kurt Borusiewicz and me to lay down her lead vocals. Hoping this would be the perfect follow-up to "Hot Shot" and reminiscent of that classic hit, "Rendezvous With Me" features her scats and screams that are just so Karen Young. It's a personal thrill for me to have had the opportunity to add Karen's amazing vocals over a new groove on several new mixes, creating a brand new song from this artist. It's the last time we'll ever hear something new from her. I hope the world of dance music appreciates how special "Rendezvous With Me" is because it maintains the legacy of this extraordinary artist. Karen Young lives on!
