Get Disconnected has just released four new CDs in its Disco series. All come with original album art and studio credits and have never appeared on compact disc before.

I am starting to wonder what happenned to the much announced release of Celi-Bee's full length album version of "fly me on the wings of love in all of it's 12 minute glory. They announced this a way back and so far nothing.

I'll have to assume since Get Disconnected didn't send it that it doesn't exist yet. Maybe a future release?

Art and Bernie, they put an announcement on their website's "News" section that Celi's CD was delayed a bit. For your convenience, here's the announcement:


July 31, 2006
We did push back Celi Bee for mid August release. We will ship this title with the next couple releases in August. Your credit cards were not charged for this title. We will email you before we ship this item a few days prior to ship date so your aware about the charges.

Yeah, and here it is mid-October now and we're still waiting.

But I have enjoyed all the GD CDs that I've purchased... once they finally arrive!!! :roll:

Just wondering are these CD's made from the original studio recordings or are they LP transfers?

It's good to see that this year (2006) getdisconnected.com has resolved the problems that plagued them in the prior year! They shipped Celi Bee's "Fly Me On The Wings Of Love" as promised a couple of months back (well at least to me!). Now, they just announced the availability of three CDs I've been eagerly awaiting. An Ann-Margret EP, a Celi Bee greatest hits (which has to be 100% better than the Hot Production release) and a third volume of their "Disco Classics" series (with an instrumental of Magnifique - I wonder if it's the Disconet mix???).

Let's hope this progress continues into 2007!

Looking at the website news it looks like it's the 'original instrumental' mix of Magnifique so I don't think it's the disconet mix unfortunately keef. The rest of the CD looks good though.
