It would be interesting to know how much the licensing rights cost, how many are from master tapes and how many are edits.

Pete B: Definitive Boogie as in post modern revisionist meaning or a more original meaning of the word? Would you say that this comp is generally better than 'The Kings Of Disco' CD? I know they're chalk and cheese, but that shouldn't stop you having a feel for the overall quality of it. Just askin', nothing more sinister intended.

Hello Quinny,

I really liked Soul of Disco, but thought Kings of Disco had good tracks but wasn't consistant thoughout. However, when buying a comp like this I'm still happy with 3 or 4 new tunes for my £10. I still think that is decent value as I'm unlikely to get them elsewhere. I've got plenty on one track vinyl LP's in my collection.

I've listened to CD1 few times now and I am really into 5 or 6 of the cuts. Very 80's with synths and lots of electronic touches, so its that sort of boogie. 8)

None are listed as edits, but I'm not familiar with the originals in 80% of cases, so I can't give you a definative answer.
