Is Tom Cruise paying Entertainment Tonight to be his personal publicity machine?

Everytime I turn on E.T. they've got something about Tom. Enough already!

I have not forgiven Tom for leaving the beautiful Nicole Kidman for that Penelope Crust.

I think Entertainment Weekly magazine is just as bad: They will use ANY excuse to put Tom Cruise (and Julia Roberts, for that matter) on their cover. I assume it's mostly about what sells magazines (or, in the case of ET, attracts viewers) but I'm sure it also has something to do with giving only favorable coverage, as in fawning publicity, puffball questions and nothing controversial.

Did anyone else read the profile on Tom Cruise in Time a few weeks ago? Openly gay writer Jess Cagel (formerly of EW!) said the only question everyone asked him about Tom Thumb was if he was gay. Cagel said he's convinced he's NOT, because he showed up for their interview wearing his baseball cap backwards, and that any self-respecting gay man knows that look is over!

Take it away, Marky...!

Well, of course, Tiny Tom and Julia are the top stars in Hollywood, so every magazine wants them on their cover and every entertainment related show wants their interview.

The buzz around Hollywood was the rather shockingly paltry sum of $36 million that Tom's "Minority Report" took in that first weekend. Excellent reviews, a teenage-boy friendly sci-fi premise, Steven Spielberg AND TINY TOM--how could they stand the shame of nearly tieing for first place with an animated kiddie flick "Lilo & Stitch"????!!!!

But they did, nearly tie, that is.

So, TINY TOM is EVERYWHERE pumping the crowds to get them into the damn theaters!!!!!
