I've often wondered if disco/dance artists ever post on this site. It would be a little embarassing if I trashed an artist's work and they happened to read it as they were browsing the threads. I can imagine the hurt Dennis LePage must feel when he reads how others have trashed his precious Lime or the members of Duran Duran feel when I say they are no longer pretty.

Only last week I was thinking the same. Suppose if we critic somebody and that person is a member without ever revealing his or her Star-identity. Maybe in such a case, Bernie or Nicky would discretely advice us? I hope so. BTW, if Stock, Aitken or Waterman are members here, can they confirm this plz???? Hahahahaha

Yes, quite a number of singers, DJs and other music people are members of DiscoMusic.com, but do not usually post under their own names or even post at all. They are amongst us!

back to topic... I am sure that if the artists read these threads... they are used to hearing good/bad reviews of their past efforts. I mean not everyone likes LED ZEPPELIN'S - Stairway To Heaven...

OMG, Paul, come back to the board, I trust you, I was only joking, plzzzz don't tell me that I was right  Or in case I am: Salma, you are a beautiful woman, keep on posting honey Seriously, I don't know our famous members. I know Marky has or had something to do with da bizz and that Nicky is a famous DJ and played on some records. I'm not a star though, I was a pretty famous radiojock in Brussels during the 80's but quit all of that when the music of those days didn't touch me anymore. And BTW I was one of the first to play Detroit, Chicago House and Go Go in Belgium. People didn't like it back then. BTW I got very drunk with Mickey Rourke once, he still remembers me :D :D :D Other facts: -I lunched with Cerrone 2 times -I went out several times with the guys from Two Man Sound -I spoke to Carmen Electra -I shook hands with Prince -I trained once with Jean-Claude Vandamme (kickboxe) -I kissed Donna Summer But me-myself-I, famous nope

A) I absolutely do not remember anymore what we ate but the conversation was of course about Disco. Cerrone was pleased that his records are still cherished by lots of people, old and young and that he was planning to do a new album on which he would rework the old grooves (that was before the launch of Hysteria). Further we discussed the importance of naked women in videoclips and on recordsleeves which we both consider very important and we talked about life in L.A. and about restaurants over there since a Belgian, Eddy Kerkhofs, is the owner of the star restaurant "Le Dôme". Cerrone is a very modest and polite guy and still has the class he spread during his clips in the haydays. B) Miss Summer. Before she had her breakthrough she lived in Germany. At that time she had a little hit here called "The Hostage". She did a promotour in Discos and that brought her to my hometown where there was a giant new Thek called "The Globe". Because I was still a minor my niece got me in and introduced me to la Donna and her entourage. And me, myself and I got 3 (three, tre, Drei, Trois) hot kisses on the cheek from her. I still remember that she was stunningly beautiful. In fact it was one of the first black women I saw in real life and that also was very exotic and she wore her famous short dress which almost left uncovered all the parts the priests in Catholic school were warning us for. Satisfied? |

Remicks, sometimes things are rather easy in life In the 80's I was the boss of a private radiostation in Brussels. In fact I was a pirate coz' private radios were not allowed in our country at that time, only national government could broadcast legally. Because we offered a different style to the public and the nationals didn't, we had a pretty large audience. Naturally recordfirms were interested and contacted and visited us to promote their artists and records. On one occasion I was invited to have lunch with monsieur Cerrone. As I was a huge fan I couldn't refuse that offer :D The second occasion came after I met Bob Sinclar at a party in Brussels. He was working on the Cerrone By Bob Sinclar album and re-introduced me with Mr. Disco. Simple, ain't it. Just being on the right place at the right time. Mickey Rourke was at a filmfestival in Belgium. I somehow got in his neighbourhood and he invited me and a few friends to show him the city. We did and all I remember the next day was waking up at noon in a strange bed with a terrible headache and not seeing Mr. Rourke anymore. The strange girl that was sleeping next to me became my first wife :o If members are interested they can order the following episodes for only zero euros/dollars: -My wild nights with Lou Deprijck from Two Man Sound. -My meet'n greet with Prince -My meet'n greet with Carmen Electra On the other hand: -My wild sexual escapades with Salma Hayek are for a limited and adult audience only and will be censored for people who are living in San Diego and drive Pontiacs. (Paul, I'm joking, you know me by now!)
