Scott, does not connect with the audience. He doesn't have that likeability factor. Anthony does and to a certain degree Bo does too.

Bo came on strong during his first few weeks of the show.... he was the first one that performed when the Top 24 first got going.... and the judges were able to say to everyone else... "you have to bring it to the table every week"

He did consistantly well... until they had SHOWTUNES and 60's weeks. So he's been struggling a bit.

Coming down to the final stretch.... I believe the unbiased will be able to shake up the voting this week.


ANTHONY FEDEROV - I think he suffered the most... he didn't pick the right songs for a strong week.

SCOTT SAVOL - Pitchy in some spots... but you forget about it because he picked 2 good songs that showcase his vocals.

VONZELL SOLOMON - weekest performance in 8 weeks! can you believe it. I hope that she can overcome this... because I agree with Simon.

Bottom 3 SCOTT, ANTHONY & VONZELL

with Scott's performance it doesn't appear he won't be leaving this week. Say goodbye to ANTHONY.

Here's my breakdown of last night:

Anthony--I think he will be leaving tonight. Poor song choices and he wasn't as good as in previous weeks.

Scott--Thought he did well with "On Broadway". His "fans" may keep him on another week.

Vonzell--First song--terrible. Second song--suited her better.
If Anthony stays, she goes.

Bo--Actually liked his song choices this week. He's still not a favorite of mine, but he showed some versatility.

Carrie--Vocally she did fine and that will keep her in. Didn't care for the song choices.

Good analysis ..... I agree w/both of you.
I have not heard a "goosebump" performance once this year sadly ..... but it wasn't bad last night. Actually the worst of the night were the judges ...an off night for them ....
Surprise for me ..... my own rotation of preferences ..... especially since I have to admit last night was Bo's. .... as I've said , his voice to me is reminiscent of Blood , Sweat & Tears ..... but that's not a bad thing ... and that type of voice has not been around for decades .. time for it again. It definitetly brought a refreshing approach to "Stand By Me" . And he scores BIG points by performing a Los Lonely Boys tune ..... ....

Vonzell .. has she peaked ?? ..... well I'm sure there's yet another one sounding like her waiting to be on next time ..... her career's waiting.... probably Broadway....

Carrie ..she's pleasing ..that's how I'll describe it .... has as good a skin tone as Anwar too.. :D how does she make her pouty lips glisten that way to reflect every spotlight?

Scott .....Regained his confidence .. in a studio , with edits and retakes ..he could produce some powerful tunes ...

Anthony ... what happened ... jeesh .... why would you choose a novelty song at this stage .. you gotta win hearts Anthony....

OH yes ---- highlight of the evening .... not a performance .... it was when Ryan asked Scott what would happen tomorrow ( Wednesday night ) and Scott answered "Ill be figuring out what song to sing next week." :D If that wasn't set-up , what a great come-back line ...! ..... :lol:

Whether we will learn anything more than we already know remains to be seen.

According to Carmen from season 2 she did see Corey Clark (season 2) in bed with another idol contestant. Hmm, Ruben perhaps???

I was amazed that Anthony chose that throwaway novelty "Poison Ivy" when Lieber/Stoller have great ballads like "I (Who Have Nothing)" that he coulda done in his "Celine Dion is a Russian boy-style" :P

Vonzell also chose a weak one /Carrie too (she shoulda done "cause "I'm A Woman" w-o-m-a-n, I'll say it again"...in fact most of 'em did...maybe the producers were attempting to eliminate some competiton from Bo. (the golden child) :-?

Bo chose "Stand By Me" --how can ya go wrong with that one?...and Scott grabbed "On Broadway"...another gem. But the rest need better guidance. There's great material in the Lieber/Stoller catalogue.
